Incidents this week

05/06/2016 Earley Civil Rail Solutions Ltd undertaking an ETE survey at Earley accessed the lineside and walked in the wrong direction for 60 chains before they realised their error.
07/06/2016 Worting Junction ODM witnessed 2 McGinleys strap men working within Item 68 crossing 2 open Lines without any protection / Line Blocks in place.
07/06/2016 Bramley (Hampshire) 1E36 reported a near miss with a member of Network Rail staff in the vicinity of BE536 signal on the Up Reading. One member of staff was in the four foot and stumbled (did not fall), as he walked out of the way of the train. The men reached a position of safety within 4-5 seconds prior to the train passing
08/06/2016 Wimbledon A member of staff was using the steps from the compound car park when a section of the middle step of broke away. She lost her balance and fell to the ground. Ice was applied to her ankle and she was able to walk but with some discomfort. No hospital visited and no absence from work anticipated. Area taped off, a fault was reported via the Property Action line on a 2 hour response and an accident and Level 1 was completed.
09/06/2016 Durnsford Road 2F02 reported to have ran over a detonator at W160 signal on the Up Fast. The Driver was cautioned through and found no further equipment.
09/06/2016 Redbridge A member of staff was walking along the Down cess, stepped on a piece of lose ballast and went over on his ankle.
09/06/2016 Eastleigh Hampshire police (ref 440) reported a car on the track at Allington lane bridge is E13/8. Person deceased. Outstanding actions post incident – Eastleigh Off track to make permanent repair to access gate/palisade fencing on the down line at Allington Lane Bridge.
