25/04/2017
Godalming
1P44 Near Miss
1P44 reported a near miss on the approach to the station at approximately 35m 15ch (Ashtead TP Hut) with 2 members of staff with no lookout. One had been within the four foot.
They reached a position of safety within 4 seconds of the train passing them and seen to be exiting the railway via an access gate.
This incident is subject to further investigation.

Raynes Park
Near Miss Reported 2F26
2F26 reported a near miss London side of the station with an Individual Working Alone who was slow to acknowledge the warning given by train.
The individual reached a position of safety within 9 seconds of the train passing.
This incident is subject to further investigation.

Byfleet and New Haw
Staff Accident
A member of Woking S&T tripped on point rodding which resulted in him falling into cess and bruising his knee and elbow.
The Injured Party was able to complete their shift.
The Golden Hour was applied and apart from also suffering from a stiff neck, no lost time was anticipated.
27/04/2017
Eastleigh
Staff Accident
A Ground Control contractor was clearing vegetation and came across a bird nest.
Whilst tying black and yellow tape around it to alert other users, he disturbed a bees nest and was stung in the neck.
First aid was given where the penetration site was after it became slightly swollen.
The Golden Hour was applied and this was not a lost time injury.
