Lighting Rig knocked over by RRV A Works Delivery Manager reported that an RRV had knocked over a lighting tripod that then fell on a live conductor rail floater within a possession. The strike caused a flashover and scorch damage. A concern was raised by the Manger, who believed that the conductor rail concerned should have been isolated as staff had been stepping over it carrying tools. Fuel was also stored nearby alongside the rail, he clearly states this has never been like that before. The ODM and ES confirmed that as far as the live floater was concerned, it was not an irregularity as some floaters where points are concerned are to be considered to be live unless tested to prove otherwise. The RRV accident is subject to further investigation. |
